Hi Everyone !

Well its been a while since I've written anything. The summer has been crazy, as if I wasn't busy enough with my scrapbooking, my candy wrapping business really took off. I've done 5 wedding so far with everything from scratch tickets to Thank you cards. I attended my first craft show, big time and did very well. My popcorn wrappers were very popular. They're a great gift and stocking stuffer idea.
If you haven't heard about candy wrappping, here is a quick explanation. This is where we take a candy bar and design a custom wrapper tp put over the candy bar's orignal wrapper. now you might be wondering why would someone want to do this ?
Well these favors make wonderful birthday and wedding favors. they are great special events and get-togethers like family reunions and retirement parties and can be used in fundraising events. Great for baby and wedding showers and anniversaries too.

Ok It's Spetember already. Where has the time gone? The kids are back in school , the weather is changing and you have a little time.

Lets organize that scrap space of ours. Make it easier to find things, create layouts and know what we have.

With all the tools, papers, stickers, embellishments, etc that come with scrapbooking it's hard to know where to start in organizing. the best way is to pick one item - paper or pens, stickers or brads.

How about ribbon ? I love ribbon and can't get enough but it was starting to take over , I had to move it to do any work. I love to look at and didn't want it hidden. But how ? there are some great solutions out there. How about pretty curtain rods, the small cafe style. They are pretty to look at and easy to hang. Or those baskets from Target or Walmart, about 5 x 11, with holes on each side. Use dowel and sort your ribbon, place the ribbon or fibers out the side holes. I just got up from my desk and realized I had been 4 hours on the computer re-inventing my website. It seems that you need to be constantly upgrading and linking to get anywhere with a site so I thought I would post some things that have helped me.

Set a time everyday for the first 3 months that you can devote to your site. You need this time to be creative in the way your site looks and feels to your visitor and you need to be linking your site with other helpful sites.
Subscribe to newsletter and such, lots of free ones, that will help you market your website.

Why I like to scrapbook for others...

Scrapbooking is a hobby that not only provides a creative outlet for me but also promotes a strong sense of self-esteem. I love to create beautiful albums and layouts that chronicle the accomplishments of my customers and their famliies. I love to take paper and embellishements and create works of art that my customers are proud to show off.

Great scrapbooks start with great ideas and photos. Snapshots that capture the most memorable moments in life are best. Adding a variety of photos , taken at different angles, to layouts and albums produces a interesting finished product.

My company creates custom layouts and albums, these are orders taken from customers in which I use their photos to create wonderful pieces of art. I also do premade scrapbook layouts and albums, in which I produce works of art into which customers place their own photos. Both of these options consist of a theme or represent a special event. For example, a photo of a child blowing out candles on a birthday cake can be used to build a custom layout with a birthday theme, or I can create a birthday themed layout with several photo matts available.
By deciding the emotion or mood is reflected by the theme I can use this as a guide when choosing paper patterns and accents.

The main idea and focus of my company is to get those photos into an album to protect them, instead of being piled in a box somewhere.
